Election Day:
Tuesday November 4th: Polls are open from 6 AM - 8 PM
Early Voting Dates:
Monday October 20th - Monday October 27th: 10 AM - 6 PM
Tuesday October 28th: 8 AM - 8 PM
Wednesday October 29th: 10 AM - 6 PM
Thursday October 30th: 8 AM - 8 PM
Friday October 31st - Sunday November 2nd: 10 AM - 6 PM
Please note there is NO voting on Monday, November 3rd
Absentee Ballots: mailed October 3rd (see FAQs below for more absentee ballot information)
All ballots must be received by the close of the polls at 8pm on Election Day, Tuesday November 4th

Yes! Early voting begins Monday, October 20th and runs for 14 days through Sunday, November 2nd from 10am - 6pm with exception of two extended days: Tuesday, October 28th and Thursday, October 30th, the hours for Early Voting are 8am - 8pm
When you arrive at the Early Voting location, you will check in and be verified as an eligible voter. You will then receive your ballot with an envelope. You will complete your ballot at a privacy booth and seal it in the approved envelope. Before you leave, place the sealed envelope in the secure receptacle as instructed by the election officials. Ballots will be secured unopened until Election Day when they and opened and counted.
If you are not registered, you may register and vote same day.

Connecticut law allows you to receive an absentee ballot if, in your judgment, an absence from your town on Election Day prevents you from appearing at your polling place, or you are prevented from appearing at your assigned polling place on Election Day because of sickness or physical disability (not necessarily your sickness or disability), active service in the Military, religious tenets forbid secular activity on the day of the election, duties as an election official at a polling place other than your own during all of the hours of voting. To receive your absentee ballot please complete and sign an application and return it to the Milford City Clerk at the address below:

Once the voter fills out their absentee ballot, carefully following all of the included directions, they can return the ballot via the United States Postal Service, in person at the City Clerk’s office, or via the secure drop box that the Office of the Secretary of the State has provided to each city.
Milford’s secure drop boxes are available at:
Parsons Complex by City Clerk’s Office, Door Number 3 on 70 West River Street
or
Front of City Hall by the mail boxes on 110 River Street
